After retiring from 37 years of veterinary medical practice in December 2015, Patrick “Doc” Breen attended Missouri Auction School and became a licensed auctioneer, with the hope of focusing on aiding non-profit organizations with better fundraising success. To that end, Doc achieved designation as a Benefit Auction Specialist through the National Auctioneer Association Education Institute in order to focus on raising money for non-profit organizations at their galas and fund-raising events. In addition to the BAS designation, and as further commitment to continuing education to the public and to members of the auction industry, Doc has also achieved the Contract Auction Specialist designation. To round out his qualifications as an auction professional, Doc is a graduate of The Professional Ringmen’s Institute. Through this program, he was prepared and trained to serve the auction industry effectively as a Ringman, or floor auctioneer, for auction teams at ANY type of auction with ANY auctioneer.
The Benefit Auctioneer Specialist designation has been awarded to only 1% of auctioneers. The BAS professional not only sells items at a benefit auction, but also guides non-profits and their leadership through non-bid calling methods, such as games, silent auctions, direct appeals, and more.
Doc brings a passion that is unrivaled to promote and achieve the non-profit’s mission. When your organization utilizes Doc for your fundraising auction, your mission literally becomes his mission. He has helped organizations from Midland to Georgetown, Ft. Worth to Austin, and throughout Central Texas.
Doc is available nationwide to aid your organization in maximizing their fund raising efforts through auction events.
